TERM AUCTION FACILITY - TAF
Monetary policy program aiming to increase liquidity in the US credit markets. Managed by the Federal Reserve, it auctions collateralized loans to banks and other financial institutions with stable financial condition, with a minimum bid set at an overnight indexed swap rate relative to the maturity of the loans. The auctions allow these institutions to borrow funds at a rate lower than the discount rate.
