U.S. DOLLAR/JAPANESE YEN
USD/JPY (U.S. Dollar/Japanese Yen) is the abbreviation for the currency of the United States of America which is the US dollars (USD) and its equivalent value in terms of the currency of Japan which is the Japanese yen (JPY). This currency pair indicates the amount of Japanese yen or the one referred to as the quote currency that is required to buy one US dollar, otherwise known as the base currency. In the trading world, the pairing of USD/JPY is also called as ‘gopher’.
