An all weather fund is a kind of mutual fund that has the tendency to perform really well in times of both favorable and unfavorable economic market conditions. In most cases, the result of this kind of investment is accomplished through the diversification of the portfolio, by using a variety of hedging strategies, and/or a combination of asset classes.
