An increase in the worth of an asset depending on a hike in market value. Basically, the funds that was put in the security has boosted in worth, and the capital appreciation part of the financial assets involves all of the market worth surpassing the cost basis or original investment. It is one of the two primary point of supply of investment returns, with the other being interest income or dividend.
