CARLOS CRIADO-PEREZ
Former Chief Executive Officer of Safeway PLC. During his stint in the UK-based retail food chain, he helped in reviving the ailing firm by giving huge discounts on items and catching rivals off guard. He started his career with SHV Makro in 1976 and went to the United States to work as Chief Operating Officer in Wal-Mart in 1997.
