CORPORATE OWNERSHIP OF LIFE INSURANCE - COLI
Insurance policies taken away by companies on their employees in which death benefits will be given to these firms instead to the insured individual’s beneficiaries. It pertains to an insurance where a company pays all of the premiums and receives all of the benefits. In general, the policy is used to protect corporations from the costs due to sudden death of an employee and to finance employee benefits.
