CORPORATE REFINANCING
Process in which a company reorganizes its debt structure, either by replacing or restructuring prevailing debts. This may also refer to issuing equity to pay a percentage of debt. A company replaces or refinances a debt which is generated by creating or issuing other borrowing. In restructuring, a firm works with its creditor to change the terms of a loan including deduction of interest rates, extension, or improvement of covenants.
