EFFICIENT FRONTIER
Several combinations of optimal portfolios offering the highest expected return for a specified level of risk or the lowest risk for a defined level of expected return. Portfolios below the efficient frontier are considered sub-optimal because it cannot give sufficient return for the risk level. Portfolios grouped to the right are also considered sub-optimal because it have a higher risk level for the specified rate of return.
