GROSS PROCESSING MARGIN - GPM
Difference between the cost of a raw material and revenue generated when sold as a finished product. GPMs are influenced by supply and demand. Since prices for raw materials and processed versions fluctuate, investors can trade futures based on their anticipations on changes in GPMs.
