INVENTORY
Work-in-process goods, raw materials, and completely finished goods which are considered to be a part of a business’ assets that are being sold or to be sold. It is listed as a current asset on a company’s balance sheet. Inventory represents one of the most significant assets most businesses possess because the turnover of inventory signifies one of the primary sources of revenue generation and subsequent earnings for the firm’s shareholders or owners.
