JAPANESE HOUSEWIVES
A collective term in forex market that pertains to the league of Japanese housewives who turned to forex trading in the first decade of the new millennium. Also called Mrs. Watanabes, their main goal for currency trading was to elevate the low returns on their investment portfolios, as the Japanese rates near zero for almost a decade.
The slang term, normally referring to women, refers also to small and retail Japanese investors.
