LIQUID ASSET
An asset that can be easily converted into cash and with little impact on its value. Also called quick asset, these are considered as cash because its prices are stabilized when sold in the open market.
Liquid assets include accounts receivable, demand and time deposits, and gilt edged securities, among others. In some countries, precious metals (typically gold and silver) are also regarded as liquid assets.
