LOAN STOCK
Common or preferred stock issued to an entity to acquire a loan from another party. Loan stock earn an interest rate, similar to a standard loan, that can be either secured or unsecured. Also called convertible loan stock, a secured loan stock can be directly changed to common shares under some specific conditions and predetermined conversion rate, as with irredeemable convertible unsecured loan stocks (ICULS).
Also called portfolio loan stock financing.
