MARTINGALE SYSTEM
An investment strategy used by traders in order to capitalize on losses. Considered a risky investing method, the amount of investments continue to increase after losses, or the position size rises with lowering portfolio size. When stock prices decrease, the investor buys more of the investment to expand portfolio at a lower price. Then, he or she purchases more lower priced stock, believing the price will increase and generate profit.
