SECTION 1244 STOCK
Section 1244 Stock is a kind of equity that is treated under Section 1244 that enables the deduction of ordinary losses in place of capital losses in the case of a small share loss from domestic corporations. The losses for individual tax returns is up to a maximum of $50,000 and for joint returns, $100,000.
