STOPPED ORDER
Market order by a specialist to stop executing the trade on the New York Stock Exchange because a member company has requested to obtain a better price for that trade. Based on NYSE rules, when an order is stopped, the specialist must guarantee the market price at the time of halting the order should he fail to secure a better price.
