TAX RETURN
- Tax form or set of forms used by an entity to compute and report income taxes with the Internal Revenue Service. An individual or business should file their tax return every year for the generated income in a given tax year, whether from regular income, dividends, interest, capital gains, or other source of profits.
- Return of excess taxes paid during a specific tax year. Also known as tax refund.
