USER FEE
User Fee is the total payment fee to be paid by an individual that has willingly chosen to utilize a service or facility. User fees can be seen employed anywhere in our daily lives. For example, when driving over a highway and you have to pay for the toll, when parking at the mall and there is a charge to park, and when going to a national museum where there is an entrance fee. The toll, the parking charge, and the entrance fee are all examples of user fees. The user fee is a counterpart of taxes. The difference is that taxes is mandatory and have to be paid and unlike user fees, taxes go to a designated allotment assigned by the government and not necessarily to the service or facility currently used and benefitted from by the taxpayer.
