MARKET SENTIMENT
General attitude among investors or financial analysts about a certain security or market. This is the current mood, feeling, or tone of the stock market that is exposed through the activity and price movement of the securities being traded in the stock market. Many analysts and investors use this gauge to guess the direction the market will go. For instance, rising security prices would signal a bullish market sentiment, while falling security prices would mean a bearish market sentiment. Also called investor sentiment, it is not always influenced by fundamentals.
